Tons of announcements have come out the last couple weeks about the Shortboxed Live 2024 event happening this Sunday, May 5th. Here is a round up:

• CGC will be present and accepting books. If you are submitting, FILL OUT AND PRINT YOUR SUBMISSION FORM BEFORE THE EVENT. I learned this trick the hard way standing in a hot conference filling out the online form with an iPad at the CGC booth. Not fun. Here is the link to the submission form.

• CGC will have witnesses present. Go by the booth and ask for a witness before getting a book signed by one of the creators at the con.

• Shortboxed will be accepting auction consignments. Easy peasy to sell a large amount of books and let someone else handle the shipping. They are accepting books valued at $150 min and with a CGC Universal Blue label.

• The first 250 attendees will receive a swag bag with a variant cover by convention sponsor BOOM! Studios. Attendees have the chance to find one of these variants in their swag bags:

  • (50) x Foil Stamp

  • (50) x 1:25

  • (10) x 1:50

  • (6) x 1:75

  • (5) x 1:100

Be sure to get out tomorrow and support your local comic book store(s) for the annual Comic Book Day. Some stores require reservations for the more popular books. Find your local stores by visiting here and calling to make sure you get the books you want.

I expect the Ultimate Universe / Spider-Man and the Blood Hunt / X-Men #1 will be super hard to get. The Star Wars book is heating up speculation as well. Crazy as these are free books.
